Denver, Colorado: Unveiling the Mile High Magic

This week, while on a long overnight layover, I decided to leave the aiport and check out the city. I will have to come back and spend a bit more time in this city as it left me wanting more.

Denver's proximity to the Rocky Mountains allows outdoor enthusiasts to indulge in a myriad of thrilling activities. If you do nothing else out of this article, do yourself a favor, get on the W line light rail and go to the end on Jeffcot during sunset. This lightrail takes you from downtown to the mountains. Along the way, you get to see many beautiful scenes. I saw many community gardens both at school and within communities. I also saw many beautiful properties. The rail runs along the river so it was a very scenic route.

If you are downtown, I highly recommend stopping by Confluence Park. It is full of history including the birth of Denver and the views are astonishing.

Since I was on a tight schedule and was only going to have one meal, I went with my favorite, burgers. After walking around all day, I was ready to try "Illegal Burger" and boy that thing should be illegal it was so darn good. It is not a cheap burger, but it was well worth every penney. The ingredients were super fresh and the tastes were off the charts.

Denver has earned a well-deserved reputation as the craft beer capital of the United States, boasting over 100 breweries within the city limits. Take a brewery tour and sample the diverse range of flavors, from hoppy IPAs to rich stouts and crisp lagers. Visit the legendary Great Divide Brewing Company, where you can savor their award-winning beers and learn about the brewing process.
